Heise Swimming

Kinsley had her last swimming lesson today. We stayed up camping and went to her lesson. She swam the rest of the day. 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. She can still go back later if she wants. She did the slide and the diving board over and over again by herself. I just went from pool to pool watching. She had so much fun.

Logan Day 9

We drove to Logan through a terrible rain storm. Hail and everything. I cannot believe all the moisture we are receiving everywhere we have been. We picked Oliver up and took him shopping, ate at the Firehouse Pizza place and then went swimming at the "Show and Tell" as he calls the motel. Then we met up with Melanie at Oliver's Karate class. When class was over we went to dinner at Cafe Sobre.

New York Day 6 The Late Show

We started the day by going down to the Ed Sullivan Theater to see if we could get tickets for the The Late Night Show with David Letterman. First you wait in line, fill out a paper that is put in the lottery drawing, go through an interview, and then wait to see if they call you.

So we went to the Hello Deli that is owned by Rupert and had breakfast. Next we went to Macy's to shop. We got the call that we had been picked for the show. We needed to be back at 2:00 p.m with are code of Paul/Gold List.

We waited in line again, tuned in our code name and was told to come back at 3:45. So we did. They really try to get you hyped up and excited while you are waiting for it to start. We got into the theater, and saw the taping. We were in the balcony so I doubt we were ever seen. But it was fun to be there. Interesting how they do it all. A fun experience but pretty much a whole day thing with all the waiting and coming back.

This was a guy that was trying to perform outside the theater while we were waiting to go in.

New York Day 5 China Town

We next week to China Town. What an experience. A guy on the street said come a buy a purse. He took us 3 blocks and down 2 sets of stairs and into a small room in the basement to show us his purses. We had fun and bought all you girls a purse, Prada, Gucci, DS, what ever. I know they are fake but look good. Also on the street we got some pirated movies. Who knows what they are like. We also went to Little Italy. Saw a show at the AMC Theater. Six floors and 45 movies theaters. A little different than Rexburg. Walked to Rockefeller Center and then to the hotel. A long day but great.

New York Day 3 Musical Sherk

We went to the play SHERK. Mark it on your calender to do. It was great. After the play we rode around the city in a rickshaw. The young man that took us around was so fun. Dodging in and out of traffic and taking us around the city to see the sights. We went down Broadway, went to Time Square, saw the Empire State Building and then back to our hotel. We had some famous New York Cheese cake before going to bed. What a great day.

New York Day 3 Friday June 12

Our hotel the Wellington is so convenient. We are just blocks from Time Square, Broadway, Central Park and as we found out the Temple. We walked towards Central Park and then directly to the Manhattan Temple. Talk about the feeling of 'leaving the world behind'. We left the hustle an bustle of the city and went into the temple and did a session. It is a beautiful temple. We loved it. So many of the workers knew Tom and Mary Anne and asked if we were here in New York for the birthday party.
