Hawaii Day 4 Sunday Jan 31

We attended church at Lahaina 1st Ward. More than 1/2 of the congregation was tourists. We sat by a lady from Texas that had her non-member friend with her. To bad we were so far back in the gym. She was taking notes and had a lot of questions.
We drove to the southern part of the island to the town of Kihei and ate at Fred's Mexican Grill. It is famous there and very good. Saw lots of people with whole body tatoos. Very interesting how people do things.
We continued our drive further down the island towards Makena. Beautiful resorts and huge golf courses. Further on you get to the lava flow area which they called simulated moon surface. Looked a lot like the Craters of the moon. We also saw a neat church in Keawalal.

Hawaii Day 3 Saturday

We are in Maui staying at the Kaanapali Beach Club. We went for a walk in the morning and saw all these beautiful flowers.
This is the view out of the window of our room. We saw whales breaching and also this is where we snorkeled this afternoon. It is gorgeous.
This is the town of Lahaina where we ate dinner at Kimo's. The have a specialty of Hulu Pies that was to die for. It has fun little stores and the ocean right by it. It has a huge Banyon Tree in the center of it all. We are having a great time.

Hawaii Day 1 and 2

We left Rexburg on Thursday and stopped at Melanie and Ben's for dinner. She fed us Beef Strogenoff which was delicious. It was so good to see Oliver also. We drove to Salt Lake and stayed at the new Hyatt Place by the Gateway Mall. Day 2 we flew to Hawaii. Stopped in Oahu and traded planes, boarded another one and flew to Maui. It was raining when we arrived. We drove to Kaanapali, checked in, ate in the restaurant and died in the room after that. It is always good to get to your destination.

January 2010

I have not taken any pictures since Christmas so I have not posted on the blog. Its been a pretty mundane January. I have been working on w-2's, 1099's, workman's Comp reports and just all the year end stuff. Seems like you just get one done and there are still tons more to do. But a cold January is a good time to do them. Hope you have all survived Christmas and ready for a new year. Trying to get use to writing 10 instead of 09. By the end of the year I will have it down.
