Convent outside the Red Square Orthodox Church so you need to wear a head scarf while there.
Cemetery. They have monuments instead of headstones. It was huge and amazing. You have to be famous to be buried in this cemetery.

Bus tour of Moscow.
Bronze Ducks in a park. They were donated by Barbara Bush. One time she was in Russia and was so impressed because all the people stopped their cars to wait for the mother duck and her babies to cross the road.
Red Square
Riding the Metro. Each station is decorated in marble and stone and a different theme. It is so clean and beautiful. 9 million people ride the metro each day.

May 18 Tuesday Airports

Saying good-bye to Deanna and Max and Serge at the Minsk airport. Everything went really smooth there.
Moscow Airport. Everything went really swmooth there also. We did not even have to go through any customs. Who knew.
We stayed at this motel and ate dinner at the resturant in the motel. It was called Don Pepe/Tex Mex, but no spanish food, but decorted in American cowboy stuff. Pretty strange.

Airports May 13 and 14

Chicago airport. We had a long layover because we missed our flight due to severe weather. Lots of cunfussion because of so many canceled flights. We got on a later flight to Germany.
Victoria and Alex who sat by us on the plane ride to Germany. He was a darling little boy for the long plane ride. Victoria is from Russia and living in the United States now and going there to visit her family. Missed our connection in Germany so we were there for a long time getting arrangements made to change our flight again.
We were rerouted through Vienna to Minsk. A long lay over in Vienna waiting for our flight to Minsk. Should be there tonight at 10:45 if all goes well. What an adventure. Hope to see one more airport in Minsk !!!!!!!
