Easter Eggs

Another picture used from Raquel's Facebook Posts.  The Landon grand kids painting Easter Eggs.   That was always such a fun tradition to do when our kids were little.  We use to paint all the eggs in the refrigerator, not just the boiled ones.  Good memories.

40th Wedding Anniversary Rings

Wow our hands look old.  Is that what 40 years of marriage does to you?  Rubies are for your 40th Wedding Anniversary.  We had matching rings made at Mainstreet Diamonds.  We have a storage unit we trade with them and then we had some gold melted down.  Kind of a fun way to get a new ring.  Cost $3.47.

Oliver

Oliver explaining a card game that he invented.  He is always creating things.  It was his first Pinewood Derby today.  Here is the car he raced with.

Bike Ride

Our first bike ride for the Spring/Summer Season.  Do you think we will be doing this on our 50th Anniversary?   I hope so.

40th Wedding Anniversary

March 30, 2013.  Randy and I have been married for 40 years.  Lots of ups and downs but definitively more ups.  It has been a great 40 years and I hope with many more to come.  Randy brought home a Easter Lily that he said was for Easter/Wedding.

I borrowed a few pictures from Raquel.  It was warm enough for the boys to go to the duck pond and feed the ducks.
They are working hard on writing their names.

Wis Dells-Sunday-Still flying home-March 24, 2013

Denver Sunday morning.  Still lots of snow and very cold.  It was 2 degrees.  We left the motel to catch our 11:14 am flight home to Idaho Falls.
The Denver airport was still a zoo, people every where.  Going through security was horrendous.  We got to our gate in plenty of time though because we left the motel plenty early.  Our flight was delayed again and the gate was also changed.  We flew out of Denver at 1:23 pm.    It was so nice to finally land in Idaho Falls and know we were almost home.  The best thing was, no snow in Idaho Falls.

All in all we had a wonderful trip.  It was so nice to spend time with Melanie and Hillary's families.  I love getting to know the grand kids better and watching them play with each other.  I am so glad for family.  Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin is a great place to visit.

Wis Dells-Saturday-Forevertron, MCM-March 23, 2013

Grand kids with their new Crocs, but Lily is showing her bare feet.
Forevertron- Largest scrap metal structure in the world.  It was totally amazing.
Ben loved this place.  Pictures to do not justice to these sculptures in this Art Park.
Wisconsin is famous for their cheese so we had to stop at the Carr Valley Cheese store.
We dropped Caleb, Hillary and Lily off at the Madison Wisconsin airport so they could fly back to SLC.  We sure enjoyed having them with us on this vacation.
Our flight did not leave until later in the day so we went to see some things in Madison with the Hays family.  We saw the capital  building of Wisconsin
We spent the rest of the afternoon at the Madison Children's Museum.
There were so many interesting things for Oliver and Henry to do there.  And we had to finish the afternoon off with an ice cream cone.
All of us together just before we parted ways.
Henry riding in the car back to Cedar Falls, Iowa.  Oliver got a new hair cut when he got home.  It was so great to spend Spring Break with the Hays family also.
We went to the Madison, Wisconsin airport to fly out.  Weather was bad in Denver so our flight could not leave.  We missed our connection in Denver and had to spend the night.  We rented a car to go to our motel for the night.  The Denver airport was a zoo.  So many canceled and missed flights.  It was so cold and snowy.

Wis Dells-Friday-Waterparks,Shopping, Movie- March 22, 2013

 Lily playing on a ball.
We went to another water park called the "Wild West Waterpark" at the Wilderness Resort.  We went on the Fantastic Voyage Family raft ride, and a few body slides. Oliver loved going on the slides.  Henry and Lily played in the kids area.
We decided to walk back to the Dome Waterpark because it was so warm inside.  The Wilderness Resort is so large and everything is connected with indoor walk ways.  Pretty amazing.
 Henry playing in the water.
 Lily playing in the water.
 Oliver in between swims.
There was a large Tanger Outlet Center.  Randy, Melanie, Hillary and I went shopping while Caleb and Ben tended the grand kids.
We went to the movies at the AMC and saw the movie  "The Crood's".  It was a really cute movie.  Henry and Lily, after the movie was over, went up front and did puppets on the screen.  They both did pretty good during the movie.
We finished off the day by going out to dinner.  We ate at this wonderful chinese restaurant called the Dynasty.

Wis Dells-Thursday- At the Resort-March 21, 2013

We spent the day around the resort.  We are getting ready for breakfast in the unit.  Melanie and Hillary were always so good to help with meals.
After last nights Illusion Show, Oliver made his own Illusion and he shared it with us.
Henry playing in the indoor play ground.  Melanie and Randy watching him.
Oliver swimming at the resort pool.  He does love to swim.
Hillary at the Activity Center getting caught up on work.  We did not have internet in the rooms.
We fed the ducks again. You start putting bread out and the ducks come to you.  Henry and Lily really had fun.
Henry and Lily playing under and around the furniture, jumping on the bed, and watching a movie.
Ben made glasses out of a paper cup for Lily.  Melanie and Hillary had to try them on also.

Wis Dells-Wednesday-Wilderness Waterpark-March 20, 2013

Wild Water Dome Waterpark.  Barney Family and Hays family ready to enjoy the park.  It had a clear dome over the top so you felt the sunshine coming through.  It was like you were outside.
 One of the water slides.
Lily enjoying the kids part of the water park.
Henry at the kids part of the water park.
 Oliver loves to swim
The Great Wave Pool at the park.
Grandma and grandpa enjoying the fun in the sun.  It was 12 degrees outside, but it felt like summer inside.
Caleb was so good to go with Oliver on the slides.  We also went over to a second waterpark that went along with the WILDERNESS RESORT.  Klondike Kavern Waterpark.  No pictures but a lot more slides, a lazy river and a fun kids waterpark also.  A great day of swimming.
We went to the Jeremy Allen's Illusions Show.  It was pretty fun.  How can you go wrong with hair and a smile like Jeremy's.
Lily loved watching and clapping for all the acts.
Oliver was chosen to go up on stage and help with one of the acts.  When we were leaving Jeremy Allen gave Oliver a Passport that entitles him to a life time of free admittance to any of Jeremy Allen's Show.  Oliver did a great job.
