Cedar Falls, IA- parting ways- July 30, 2013

On Tuesday, July 30th we parted ways in Cedar Falls.  Randy took off with the u-haul truck pulling the Yaris, headed to Oregon..  Ben and Melanie headed to Oregon in the Subaru following Randy.  Oliver, Henry and I headed to the airport to fly to Salt Lake City, Utah.
Oliver, Henry and I  had quite an adventure flying.  We boarded the first flight in Cedar Rapids after turning in the rental car.  A Sky Cap there was so good to help us.  We had an extra 2 hour lay over in the Denver airport, but then we finally made it to SLC.  Ashley picked us up at the airport and took us to her home.    It was a long day but we were sure glad to get to Salt Lake.

Last time in Cedar Falls, Iowa- July 27-30

Randy and I flew from SLC, Utah; to Denver, Colorado; to Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  Then we rented a car a drove to Cedar Falls.  Probably our last time there.  We are helping the Hays's make their move from Cedar Falls, Iowa to Monmouth, Oregon.
They were out of their home so we all stayed at a motel. Oliver and Henry relaxing there.
Oliver's last private swim lesson in Iowa.  His teacher said he is ready for competition swimming.  He is doing really good.
Henry keeps really busy, but when he is tired he sleeps so cute.
Last time at the Public Library.  One of the kids favorite places.
One last time at Scratch Cupcakery also.

Early Morning Bike Ride

I had a wonderful bike ride this morning.  I rode through the Archer/Sunnydale area. Biked out to Big Judd's,  up the hill past the Luthy Ranch, by the Sutton Cemetery,  around the Stake Center, through Thornton and the long way back home.  Just over 20 miles.  I need to go more often because I really enjoy it when  I get out.  Yeah for beautiful morning in southeastern Idaho.

We started our day out with going to Independence, Iowa for a parade.  We just got on the tail end of the parade.  The town says 'We celebrate Independence Day not just observe'.
Activities in the park.  Henry got stuck in the bounce house and the worker had to go rescue him.  Oliver loved all the activities.
Cute houses, red barns, rolling hills, unique churches, beautiful river.  It is really beautiful and green  in Iowa.
Ashley arrived today.  The kids were so excited to see her as well as we all were.  She gets in and plays with the kids and they love that.
Waiting for dinner at the Texas Roadhouse.

A fun day enjoying some activities in Cedar Falls.  Our first stop was the public library.  Oliver does not like his picture taken so I have to snap quick on him.
We walked over to the cupcake store and got a treat.
Lunch at Rudy's Taco.  Yum, Yum!!!!
We let the kids spend some time at the Splash Park and Play area by the Youth Pavilion
When they were done swimming we went and saw the art display.
