Hunters Pointe

Grandpa Landon, Ira turned 95 years old on February 22nd.  On February 29th he moved into Hunters Pointe in Helena, Montana.  It is an assisted Living place.  He has his own apartment and can come and go as he pleases.  He seems to be enjoying the place.  Randy and I drove to Helena to take his car and things to him that were here at our house.

Remodel Project on our house

Holden and Keagan loved to help demolish and tear out the tile off the floors.
I had lots of good helpers that day.  Ashley was home for the long week-end and Raquel and Kinsley helped also.  We could not have got it done without them.
Floors ready for the next laminate.  Can't wait.

Driving from Lake Tahoe to Rexburg, Idaho

691 miles to home.  10 hours 25 minutes
I like to cross stitch when I am traveling.  I finished this one on this trip and started another one. My cedar chest is getting full and I don't know what to do with all of them.

Home Sweet Home!

We arrived home in the dark around 9:00 pm.  We gained 1 hour when we crossed into Idaho, so the drive and a few stops time was 13 hours.
We drove 2,231.5 miles for the whole trip,   from Rexburg, Idaho;  to St. George, Utah; through a corner of Arizona and across Nevada to South Lake Tahoe, California; From Tahoe across Nevada again and into Idaho; and then home to Rexburg.

I love to travel but it is always good to be home !!!!!!!

Long way to home

We started out in the dark around 7:00 am .and it was 19 degrees

We had good roads all the way, but not much to see all across Nevada.
Lots of Interstate

Dinner at MacDuff's

We ate dinner at MacDuff's, a Scottish Pub.  The food was amazing.  They had a yellow Studebaker in the front parking lot.

Thursday-Skiing at Sierra in Tahoe

We went back to Sierra and skied another day.
Randy and I on the chair lift.  Picture of our skies also.
The moss on the trees was beautiful.
The sun was shining all day long.  It made a great picture coming through the trees.
 The Sierra Mountains.
Lots of great runs at the Ski Resort
In the afternoon I sat out and enjoyed the sunshine while Randy went and skied a few more runs.  It was such a pretty day.
They had a Star Wars park for the little kids.
What a great report.

Reno

We found the restaurant called FEAST on yelp.  It was so good, the atmosphere was fun, the waiter was great, and we ate our meal on a wooded plate.  Yum, Yum.
We went to the movie Bridge of Spies, in one of the large casinos.  We must have walked 2 blocks to find the movie theater in the casino.  What a weird life style to live.
When we went out to the parking lot we saw this car.  I think it would be great to add this on Randy's truck, ha ha.

Reno LDS Temple

Randy and I attended a session at the Reno Temple.  It is always so nice to relax and enjoy the feeling of being in the temple.

Drive to Reno

I love the tunnel in the rock driving to Reno.  Also a sign to Susanville.

Morning Walk and Exersize

I decided to walk over the gym at the Resort.  During the week there is hardly anyone here.  They had a nice work out place.
A view of the lake from our resort.
We have a private beach but I would say it is a little cold to sit outside and enjoy the lake.

Dinner and a Magician

We ate dinner at Tep's Villa Roma.  It was really good italian food.
We went to the Loft in Heavenly Village and saw a magician.  His name was Tony Clark and he did an excellent job.  His show was very good.

Views on the drive back

Driving back towards Tahoe.

View of Tahoe in the distance.

You can see Lake Tahoe in the far distance and the Tahoe airport.  What a beautiful view.

Skiing at Sierra-at-Tahoe

Sierra-at-Tahoe was a fun ski resort.
The day started out snowing and then the sun came out.  The snow was excellent.
 Randy and Susan
It was so pretty at the ski hill.
The trees were covered with snow and the moss was on the side of the trees.

Eldorado National Forest-Sierra-at-Tahoe

It was a beautiful drive up to the ski hill.

Dinner and a Movie

We ate dinner at The Beacon.  They said it was one of the locals favorite  spot.  The food was very good and you looked out the window at the lake.
We went to a movie in the Heavenly Complex.  It was a great show, I recommend it to all.
