Day 7- Sunday Aug. 16

A quiet day today. We took Hillary to the airport so she could fly home. Went back to Tahoe and attended the South Shore Ward for church. Ate brunch at Heidi's, relaxed for the afternoon and then ate dinner at Villa Roma's. The best Italian food I have ever had. If you are ever in Tahoe go there and eat.

Day 6- Hiking Aug, 15, Saturday

We headed to the Tahoe Keys at 5:45 a.m. this morning for a Hot Air Balloon ride. The weather seemed beautiful, not a breeze but a little cool. We boarded the boat that would take the balloon out on the lake to launch from there. Ate breakfast on the boat and then the captain came and said some bad news, the air current up high is to strong and we will have to cancel. Yucky news but what can you do. So we went back to the Condo took a nap, and then shopping at the outdoor Arts and Craft Fair. Then we went hiking down to Emerald Bay and saw the Vikingsholm Castle and Eagle Falls. Beautiful hike down but a little steep back up. We ate at 'Freshies' and then collected large pine cones in the forest. Shopped some more, swam at the Condo and just relaxed. All in all a good day.

Day 5- Paddleboat Cruise-ABBA Aug. 14

Today Randy and I started out on a bike ride up in the Mountains. It is so beautiful here. Then the girls and I went and got a pedicure. It was fun to go the 3 of us at the same time. Swam at the resort and relaxed. Our next adventure was in the afternoon, we went on the Dixie Paddle boat cruise from the east side of Lake Tahoe to Emerald Bay. The water is so blue on the lake and then you enter the bay and it is a beautiful emerald green color. Last night we went to a Abbracadabra Concert at the South Shore Room at Harrah's that was all ABBA music. It was fantastic. A fun busy day.

Dayv4- Gondola Ride'Heavenly' Aug. 13

Today Hillary, Ashley, Randy and I went up on the Gondola called "Heavenly". The view was amazing, the pictures do not even capture what we saw. You get off the gondola where they have lots of activities going on on top of that mountain 9,136 feet. Then you can get on another chairlift and go to 9,800 feet. We did that and then went hiking for awhile. We actually all got a little bit of a sunburn. We shopped in the stores in town, then went back to resort and swam and then went on a bike ride. The girls keep Randy and I young and going strong.

Day 2- Elko, NV to Lake Tahoe

We left Elko, NV in the morning and ran into lots of road construction along the way. We picked Ashley up at the Reno airport. The Security Personal were riding around on Segway's at the airport. We stopped and ate at In-and-Out Burger (Randy's favorite place) and took the long way up the mountain pass to Lake Tahoe. It was beautiful. We are staying at the Wyndmn South Shore Resort. We went swimming at the pool and then went and did some sight seeing of the area. We saw Cave Rock and also drove through the rock. The Lake is amazingly clear and beautiful. What a wonderful area.

Owl

When we got home from Logan there were 2 owls in our backyard. They were so fun to watch. When I walked outside the one swooped down and about scared me. Sunday morning Randy was walking in the yard and the one swooped down and dropped a large poop. Just missed him but it splattered on his leg and pants. They have since left and we miss them.
