Kinsley's Art Show

Kinsley loves to do art.  Her Junior High Grade had an Art Show.  She had a lot of fun pictures on display.  Also notice she does not have braces on her teeth any more.  They were removed today.  Yeah!!! for smooth teeth.

Visitors at Grandpa and Grandma's

It is so fun to have the grand kids come and stay.  Lily and June both, just warm my heart.
Randy and I took Hillary and the girls to the new movie RIO 2.  June would start to dance when the songs would come on.
 June and Lily
Great grandpa Landon was visiting while they were here also.  Lily could really get him to smile.

2014 State of Idaho GFWC Convention

Becky Weber was our guest speaker from national.  She is President of Junior Clubs. GFWC International.
Saturday morning I woke up early so I took off for a walk.  I crossed over the Snake River.  It was a beautiful morning in Burley, Idaho.  The daffodils and tulips were blooming and even the dandelions looked good for a spring morning.
A few of the club reports.  Boise Columbia Club, Albion Four Leaf Clover Club, and Nampa Woman's Century Club.  There was just Linda Flamm, Maurie Barton and I to represent the GFWC Rexburg Civic Club.  I guess we went for quality instead of quantity.  Ha, Ha !!!!!
Installation of the new State Officers by Beck Weber.  -Our club will be represented by Maurie Barton as President,  Linda Flamm as Treasurer and Judy Steiner as Secretary (not Pictured).
Out going President Lee Leafgren and new President Maurie Barton.

West Yellowstone, MT- Saturday

Ashley and I headed out to x-country ski one more time.  The snow was very sticky so would could hardly glide at all.  So we took our skies off and went for a walk around town.  There is still a lot of snow in West Yellowstone.
Randy and Ashley are pushing the luggage cart out to the vehicles so we can head home.  It was a good week to enjoy the last bit of winter.
What a great way to end a trip.  We listened to the 10:00 am session of April General Conference on our drive home.
Perfect timing.  We finished the conference session and then went and ate at Chiz's in St. Anthony.  We had a great time.  It was so good to have Ashley come up for a few days and enjoy West Yellowstone with us also.

West Yellowstone, MT- Friday

Ashley and I started out the morning by going X-country skiing.
 Ashley an Susan
The snow was great.  The gliding and sliding was good.
We had lunch at the Slippery Otter again.  They do have really good food, but there is not a lot of restaurants open in West Yellowstone.
Ashley wanted to go to the Discovery Center, so we all went again.  Who knew you could go 3 days to the Discovery Center in one week.
Winter time is the time to go though.  The animals are a lot more active.  The bears are just a hoot to watch.  They continually play together and romp and roll.
They fed the wolfs while we were there, so they were active also.  The keeper went into the pen while the wolfs were out and hid some food.  Then the wolfs were let out and to find the food.  It was interesting to watch them.
We found one other thing we could do in West Yellowstone.  We went to the movie.  It was almost a private showing but one other couple did show up just as the movie started.

Big Sky Montana- Skiing-Thursday

We drove from West Yellowstone to Big Sky, Montana.  Randy was pretty excited to see the 'Super Natural Car' along the way.The scenery in the Galletin National Forest is just beautiful.  You also drive a little bit in Yellowstone National Park.
It was beautiful day for skiing.  Blue skies with just a few puffy clouds.
Lone Peak-  The snow was excellent for a spring skiing day.
 We had a great time.
Lunch at one of the restaurants at Big Sky.  We started outside but moved in because it was a little chilly to sit outside and eat.
On the drive home we saw a little more wild life.  In fact the deer running off, we almost got him in our headlights.

West Yellowstone, MT- Wednesady

We hit the x-country ski trail again today.  There was a light snow last night so the trail was good.
We ran into another skier on the trail and he took our picture.  It was a beautiful morning.  A little over cast but nice.
We headed out for a drive around Hebgon Lake.  We saw a lot of bison on the road.
Lots of snow and a beautiful  drive.
 Hebgon Dam.
 Quake Lake
Madison River.  There actually were fishermen on the river.  It made me think of 'A River Runs Through It'
Herds of goats along the highway
 Lunch at the Buffalo Bar.
Ashley drove from Salt Lake City, Utah and joined us.  We had a late dinner at the Slippery Otter.  We were surprised to find a place open.

West Yellowstone, MT- Tuesday

Second Day visiting the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center
The bears were really active today.
We went to the birds of prey demonstration.
The wolfs were a little more docile today.
There is not a lot going on in West Yellowstone, so we went on several walks around town.  Lunch at the Canyon Street Cafe  (only open from 11-3) and just saw some sights in town.
