Monday-Leaving the Bay area

We walked  down Powell Street to Union Square, boarded BART, rode under the Bay and boarded AIRBART to the Oakland Airport.  We are getting good at maneuvering on our own.  Flew from Oakland to Idaho Falls and Ashley picked us up at the IF airport.  We had a great long week-end with Deanna and Max.

San Francisco/Tour/War Horse

You cannot go to San Francisco without seeing the Golden Gate Bridge
We did a tour in an open bus and saw many of the sights
Fisherman's Warf.  I love all the street actors that perform
More sites on the warf.  The "Bush Man" is still there after 37 years.
More of our tour of downtown San Francisco.
 Chinatown.
The reason we came to San Francisco--  The broadway play WAR HORSE.  The play was fantastic.  The horses seemed so real and their personalities really came out with the movements of the puppeteers.  It was so fun to be there with Max and Deanna.

Rexburg to San Francisco

Randy and I along with Max and Deanna Wade  flew on Allegiant from Idaho Falls to Oakland, and then took BART over to San Francisco.
We got off at the Powell Street station, right where the cable cars turn around.  We walked the 7 blocks to our motels.  It is great to be in the big city.
Randy and I are at the Canterbury Wyndham and Deanna and Max are just down the street from us.
We ate dinner at the cutest little diner called Lori's.

Jaxon 36 years old

We took Jaxon, his family and Ashley out to dinner at Applebee's for Jaxon's 36 birthday.  (September 10, 2012) We went to dinner before we left for San Francisco because we would miss is actual birthdate.  We sure do enjoy having them close by.  Happy Birthday Jaxon.

Stocking for Soldiers

It is that time of year again to sew  Stockings for Soldiers  (My part this year 55).  The GFWC Rexburg Civic Club likes to send at least 600 each year.  They are then labeled with the Soldiers name, filled with needed items and mailed to the men and women in armed services.  It is a great project to be involved in.

Jackson Hole, Wyoming/ Labor Day

We took Ashley and went for a drive up to Jackson Hole.  The antler arch is always a must to see.  We also rode the Alpine Slide and then had "square" ice cream on the ride home.  A great relaxing day.

Bike Ride on Labor Day

The sun was just coming up over the trees.  Such a beautiful morning.  You could feel a little bit of fall in the air,  it was a little chilly.
It was so pretty to see the flags lined up in front of the house as we biked by.  Thank you scouts and leaders for your time and effort in making this happen at each holiday.
