Hollyhocks

These flowers are in our back yard. Do you remember making dolls out of them. They hollyhocks were the dress part and then we would use other flowers for the head, arms, legs, etc. They were so fun to make. I even got a bumble bee in one flower.

Pioneer Day Parade

Ashley, Randy and I went to St. Anthony on Saturday and saw the parade. It was led by the Americana's. I missed seeing Deanna, LaLene and Max ride. There were a lot of beautiful floats representing 100 years of heritage. They also passed out chocolate milk. Who does not remember that from the parades around here. They also threw candy and a new one, bouncy balls. The kids really liked getting those.

Oliver's Toe

Ben, Melanie and Oliver came up for a few days to visit. But the trip started out a little strange. Oliver stubbed his toe and we had to take him to Community Care and have the toe nail removed. Poor little guy it was pretty traumatic. But we decided to go up camping anyway but the swimming will be out. Having a good time up at Heise.

Temple Shift Party

After our Temple shift on Wednesday we had a party. It was held at the Shelter by the Cresthaven church. It was a Dutch Oven catered dinner. The Grant and Dorothy Ashcraft Family singers were our entertainment. It was a very nice party. Brother Hess was able at attend even though he is still in a neck brace from the auto accident.

Road Trip- Day 4 City of the Rocks

Today we drove through the City of the Rocks. This is where Jaxon and his friends use to climb all the time. It was amazing seeing the people on top of the rocks that had climbed up there.
We then followed the Scenic Byway to Sun Valley, Idaho. We went to the Ice Show in Sun Valley and had the dessert buffet with it. It was a really nice night.

Road Trip- Day 3 Jackson to Albion

We took the back roads from Jackson, Wyoming to Albion, Idaho. Saw lots of sheep, cows, dogs hearding sheep and went through Soda Springs, Idaho. It is beautiful back around that way. So green and lots of wild flowers still out.

We spent the night in Albion, Idaho (Deanna remember that from Civic Club). Small town, nothing there. The locals really stare at strangers in the restaurants. It was kind of un-nerving.
