South Carolina- Day 1- Lots of airports

We left the Idaho Falls airport at 1:20 pm in the afternoon.  What a beautiful picture out the plane window of the Snake River valley.
Denver was our next airport.  You can see the tent a little bit in the back ground. All we did was get off one plane and get on another.  Did not see much.
Dulles, Washington DC was our next airport.  I thought this hair was interesting and took his picture.  We loaded on a small commuter plane for our last leg of the journey.
We landed in Charleston, South Carolina for our destination.  We landed at mid-night.  I feel like we were fling for ever.
A shuttle picked us up and took us to our motel, the Hilton Garden Inn.
Everything was closed because we were so late. We walked across the street and walked to the drive up window at Wendy's.  They were also closing so all were able to get was a  carton of milk.  The young man at the d rive up window was so funny and apologetic for not being able to help us.

Pioneer Day Parade-St. Anthony, Idaho

Randy and I went to the parade in St. Anthony.  I think it is great that they always start parades with the American Flag.  It helps you remember the sacrifices of so many.  I love my country.
Different modes of transportation in the parade
This is a small example of the floats.  The people in St. Anthony really go all out on their floats.

We work with Doug  and Debbie Munns in our University Ward and his family had a float in the parade.
 The winning Float.
It was a great parade.  We have a great pioneer heritage that we should always remember all the PIONEERS   have done for us.  COUNT YOUR MANY BLESSINGS.

Jackson Hole- Day Trip

Randy and I took off for a Day Trip in the little car.  It was great and warm to drive with the top down.
First stop was Swan Valley, it is beautiful and you must make a stop and get "Square Ice Cream"
Next stop Palisades Dam.  The lake is fuller than I have seen it in years.
A Hawk or Osprey in it's nest on top of a telephone pole.
We stopped at "Lunch Counter" (a section of rapids on the river) and watch the people floating down.  I thought it was interesting to see a guy surf boarding, also a lot of rubber rafts and kayakers.
Downtown Jackson, Wyoming.  I learned in the museum that JACKSON is the town and JACKSON HOLE is the valley.
We drove through the Elk Refuge.  The Tetons on the back side are breathe taking.
We ended the night by eating at the Saddle Rock Family Saloon and seeing the show "Paint Your Wagon" at the Jackson Hole Playhouse.  We drove home over the Teton Pass.
We had a great day.

Early Morning Bike Ride

I left this morning just as the sun was rising.  The back yard looked so pretty with all the flowers in bloom.
I went towards the temple, past the temple, went to the water tower, up on the dry farms and could see the "R" Mountain pretty good in the distance.  I am really missing my sister Deanna to go on bike rides with.  I always think of her when I head out.  Next summer!!!!!
I loved seeing the wild daisy's long side of the potato fields on the dry farms.

Landon Grand kids helping at Alpine Storage

The Landon Grand kids came out to the storage units and helped me do some fix up.  Kinsley helped with scrapping off the old unit numbers and putting on new ones.  There are lots of numbers on the doors out there.  Holden and Keagan used the brooms to sweep out the empty units.  They all took turns driving the golf cart to where we needed to go.

4th of July- Barney's and the Hays's

June and Lily Barney on their front steps in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Oliver (just his bottom half) and Henry watching the Independence, Oregon Parade.

4th of July 2014

Zip found interesting places to lay while she was camping with us.  She stayed in the trailer when we went places.
We decided to drive into the park on the 4th.  There were so many vehicles it was astonishing.  We decided to go the opposite from Old Faithful to get away from some of the traffic.
We got some good pictures of buffalo.  They were right on the road in one place.
 Gibbon Falls.
The Artists paint pots are back in aways but well worth the hike.
A view from the walkway above.
A "selfie"  I do not like pictures.
 The Falls by Canyon Village.
 The view was amazing.
They call these falls and canyon the "Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone"

Norris Geyser Basin.  We just looked from the top of this rim down to the geyser below.
At 6:30 pm there was a parade for the 4th of July in downtown West Yellowstone.  They actually had a great parade for a small town.
We attended the rodeo because it seemed like the thing to do on the 4th.  It was pretty lame as far as rodeos go.  Only lasted 45 minutes and not much there.  Oh well I guess you go for the atmosphere.
We were able to pull right off the road and sit in the back of the pick-up for the fireworks show.
They had a great display to celebrate the birth of our country.  We had a great 4th of July!!!!!!!

Camping my style- Full hook-up

Ashley came to Idaho to spend the 4th of July week-end.   We went camping at the West Entrance KOA campground.  It was a great place.
That night we went and saw Les Miserables again at the Playmill Theatre.  It is an awesome play.  I cannot believe they can do the play in such a small theater.
A few sights we saw while walking around West Yellowstone.
