Hollyhocks


These flowers are in our back yard. Do you remember making dolls out of them. They hollyhocks were the dress part and then we would use other flowers for the head, arms, legs, etc. They were so fun to make. I even got a bumble bee in one flower.

    Funny--just the other day I saw a hollyhock and said to myself, "I need to show Sergie's daughters how we use to make dolls out of them." Great minds think alike. I don't think I've even showed my grandkids. We don't have any in our yard. I'll have to get a start from you when we get home.

    That is a great picture. I love the bee. But no I do not remember making dolls out of flowers. I don't think that is what I did with flowers as a kid.
