 Independence, Oregon- Oliver and Henry
Rexburg, Idaho-  Kinsley, Keagan and Holden
Salt Lake City, Utah-  Lily and June
Randy and I were driving home from Oregon so we missed seeing any of the grand kids at Halloween, but they all look so cute.

Oregon- Day 9- October 31st- Driving back to Idaho

Multnomah Falls.  The Double Falls are just beautiful
It was sprinkling when we walked up to the Falls.  A train was going by when we walked under the bridge going to the Falls.
The moss on the trees is beautiful.
We ran into a lot of rain driving in Oregon.
The sun came out for awhile.  The scenery is so pretty it almost looks fake.  The leaves where just changing colors, so you had it all; green, yellow, orange, red, etc.
Another picture perfect sight  along the way.
It is always good to get back to Idaho again.

Oregon- Day 8- Downtown Portland

Randy and i went out for a walk first thing this morning.  You must hug a tree while in Oregon.  All the Oregonians do!!!!! We found a beautiful trail right by our motel.
We rode the aerial tram.  It was built to accommodate parking for the Hospital that is on top of the hill. Notice the bike parking below.  A lot of people in Portland commute by bike.
It was a pretty clear day so the view was beautiful.
There was an observatory up on top.  You entered the hospital and then went out on a deck to look at the view.  It was a little foggy out further but you could see Mt. Saint Helens.
We headed downtown on the Portland Street Car and rode several others ones also.  The little smart cars are rent-a-cars.  The keys are in them.  You insert your credit card and can use the car for as long as you want for a fee.  We did not try them, but they looked pretty interesting.  You saw them all over the city.
Portland is known for its Food Wagons.  There are over 500 around the town.  The most famous ones are downtown in a group together.  There is almost 2 city blocks with the food wagons on them with ever food imaginable.  We ate lunch at one and it was delicious.  It would be great to try them all.
You have got to stop at Powell's Books if you are in Portland.  It is the largest book store I have ever seen.
 Downtown Portland
Last stop Voodoo Doughnuts.  They have the most weird doughnuts around but a must stop in Portland.

Oregon- Day 7- October 29th-Saying good-bye, Portland

Oliver and Henry ready to go off to school.  It was hard saying good-bye, but we will get to see them at Christmas time.
We followed Melanie up to campus so we could see where she works.  It is a beautiful campus.  Western Oregon is famous for its roses, even this time of year they are blooming every where.
This is the building where Melanie works.  The rest of the staff is awesome to Melanie and she feels very welcomed there.  Out front of her building is a bike rack dedicated to a teacher named Hank, that use to teach there.  He loved to bike and was killed in a biking accident.
Saying good bye to Melanie.  I missed getting Ben's picture because he left for work earlier.  He works in the school district in Corvallis.  We had a great visit with the Hays family and enjoyed so much seeing where they live now and how great they are liking it.
Randy and I drove up to Portland and did a temple session there.  The temple is beautiful.  The temple sets among a whole bunch of trees and is so peaceful and quite.
Beautiful roses around the temple also.  You go in the front door and there is an atrium there that people can set in while they are waiting for the bride and groom to come out.
We also visited the visitors center.  There were 3 sets of sister missionaries there and 2 sets of couples.  It is a busy place.
