Idaho to Oregon-Day 1-October 23rd

We started out early on Wednesday morning and headed towards Oregon.  Not much to  see different from Rexburg to Boise.  The wind farms are pretty cool though.
We stopped in Boise for lunch and drove by the Boise Temple also.  It has totally been remodeled and looks so beautiful.  Beautiful colors on the flowers still and the leaves are turning colors.  A beautiful contrast.
We crossed the Idaho boarder and entered Oregon and took Route 22 and headed to Bend.  There is nothing across there.  You would have thought you were driving across Nevada.  Western Oregon is pretty dry and desolate.  In fact we were close to running out of gas before we got to Bend.  One thing about Oregon they pump your gas for you.  Sorry 'mom', You have always said it is as cheap to drive on the top half of the tank of gas as the bottom.  We were so glad to get to civilization. We spent the night in Bend, Oregon.
