Mexico- Saturday- Day 7- 2014

We got in our rental car early this morning and headed to Merida, 321 km or 201 miles distance.  On the Toll Road it kept posting no bicycles, but we saw more of them than vehicles.
We got on their Toll Road  at Cancun.  There was hardly anyone on the road, so pictures of signs instead..
It was a 4 lane road and the opposing lane we never did see.
Maximin speed 110, but that is in kilometers
We passed 2 Toll Booths  going to Merida.  258 pesos ($21.50) and then 149 pesos ($12.42) No wonder the locals do not use the road.
When we got closer to Merida we saw a few more people.
The town of Merida has lots of colorful buildings.
The Temple was the highlight of the day.  We did a temple session while we were there.  I wore a headset for translation.  Also at the temple on Saturday was 184 youth doing baptism for the dead.  They came on a large bus from a long ways away.  They changed their clothes at the church before they went to the temple.
The flowers and grounds are beautiful.
Church grounds by the temple.
We went to lunch at the Hyatt before we headed back to Tres Rois.  It was getting dark so not to many pictures on the way home.
