Wind Damage Storage Units

Thursday May 7, 2009 was a very windy day. We had gust of wind up to 60 miles an hour. Good old Idaho wind. The Insurance Adjuster said a Micro blast must of hit the storage units. We lost the roof and trusses off of 10 units on the one side and the metal is all twisted back on 8 more units.

Randy and Jaxon had gone to Salt Lake that morning to Maytag Repair School. I left at 2 in the afternoon to meet the Logan turn-off. During that time is when the wind really blew and Randy got a call to say the roof had blown off. So Randy and Jaxon headed home. I passed them on the freeway.

As the pictures show a lot of the garage doors were blown off the track also. The next day they spent hauling storage from the roofless units to covered ones. Wow the wind in Idaho can get bad.

  1. That to bad about the storage units. I can't imagine what kind of wind it took to do that damage.
