Kizhi Island MAY 26TH

Small Island our boat stopped at in the middle of a Lake Onega between the Volga and Neva River
21 Onion domes on this church. Oldest one left standing in Russia. It was totally made by farmers and no nails were ever used. They are in the process of retoration.

Old windmill that they can turn on an axle (the whole building) to catch which ever way the wind is blowing

    What a great idea. A windmill that turns. I have never heard of that before. Great picture of the church. Did you go inside?
