Pushkin The Palace of Catherine The Great May 29

You cannot go to St. Petersburg without stopping at this palace. It is so large, and every room is plated with gold. One whole room is cover with Amber, but they will not let you take pictures of that room. The palace was mostly destroyed during the 900 day siege in St. Petersburg but they have since rebuild it to the original state. I cannot believe the money it must have cost to rebuilt the palace.
