Seattle, WA- Chihuly Garden and Glass

We started the day by going to the Chihuly Exhibit.  It is glass blowing art that is amazing.
The exhibit is by Dale Chihuly.
Susan, Melanie, Ashley and Hillary at the gallery.
This glass blowing includes starfish, octopus, conch shells, sea anemones, urchins and manta rays.
This ceiling is lit from above  and rests on a flat glass pane.
The words stand for "a thousand flowers".  He was inspired by his mothers garden for this display.
After Chihuly lost his left eye he began drawing to express his vision and design.
These boats were inspired by Japanese art.

He made 14 different chandeliers and hung them around the city of Venice.
He used all 300 colors of glass for this display.
His  out door exhibit.
The outside garden display.  There is the reflection of the Space needle in the blue ball.
