Bahamas- Tues- February 5, 2013-Runaway Land Safari

Today the weather here is perfect.  A great ocean breeze and just the right temperature.  A cute little snail we saw walking to the lobby.
The first part of out tour they took us around to some of the housing developments.  Houses here run about $500,000.00 to 5 million.  They do have some gorgeous houses on the island.
We had seen the caves before, but our tour group stopped here again.  Fun to see a second time.
Our next stop was Gambier Village.  It is the oldest community on the Island.  All the people are either related through blood or marriage.
Sacred Space-Women.  The trees have been carved into women.
Slaves Staircase.  This staircase was cut into the Cliff so it was easier to bring the slaves to the island up through the rocks.   This is on the south side of the island.
Beautiful scenes from the south side of the island.
We stopped at a small place past the town of Adelaide Village.  It was accessible by a dirt road.  They fed us lunch and then we just got to hang out by the ocean.  It was so peaceful and calm and you could not beat the weather.  We are having a great time.
