Powhatan Indian Village

The Powhatan Indians made their houses out of really soft grasses and made them water proof.
The kids experienced first hand how to scrap the hair off the hides to make it wearable.
A lady demonstrated how to weave bowls and how they used turtle shells as plates.  Also the boys learned how to turn rope.
