Washington DC - Korean Memorial

War broke out on June 25,  1950, and waged on for 3 years, and ended at a stale mate.  All sides signed an armistice, and established a demilitarized zone (DMZ) comprising 2km of unoccupied land on either side of the 38th parallel.
