Out tour for today and a Jeep ride around the island.
The roads were narrow, steppe, rough, and bumpy. I am glad Randy was good with a manual shift. Some of the drivers were not so good.
Views of the Andean Sea from up high on the island.
We stopped at the light house and got out and walked around. The wind was blowing really hard. Something that happens on this island all the time.
The property is divided by stone fences. Some of the fences have been around for over 1,000 years.
Each family on the island has their own church that is used for baptism, weddings and special events. If you work on the sea you paint your roof blue and if you work on the land you paint your roof red. There are more than 1,000 churches on the island. Same paint for your house.
These people must be land and sea.
