Ancient Ephesus

 The apostle Paul lived here after the Crucifixion of Christ.  He worked as a tent maker and preached to the people about Christianity.  He had to be really careful because the people did not like him at the time.
 Celsus Library.  It was built around 100 AD.  It is one of the most complete restoration of that period.
 Details of the library
 These are original drain pipes.  They had hot and cold running water at the time of the Romans. They also had pipes for sewage to  drain away in.
 This is the small theater.  It would seat 1,400 people.

 Large Columns
 A Temple.  This one is guarded by Medusa.  People would not look up at her replica on the building because her eyes were always watching you.
 There was public toilet in the town.  48 men could set around it at one time.  There was running water under neath so it was always clean.  There was a fountain in the middle and guitar player there all the time.
 Cats- There are lots of stray cats around Ephesus.  They each have their own column they sit on during the day.
 There was a show honoring Cleopatra and Mark Anthony.  They spent time in Ephesus durning there life time.
The large theater.  It will seat 24,000 people.  They is still use it today for outdoor concerts.
